Has anyone been successful in obtaining a refund from Vueling Airlines??

I have been trying since 7th February when Vueling changed our flight resulting in us having to book through another airline as they no longer flew to our destination in the timescale.  I was told the refund would be paid within 7 days, it never arrived, unable to contact by telephone having gone through a continuous automated loop, I wrote to HO in the UK and received a reply from customer services saying they would look into it. Initially they told me it had been paid, knowing the money had never been received, I asked for the date which of course they could never produce, they then asked in May for my bank details for a second time and told me (again) it would be paid within 7 days.  Again it never arrived, customer services said they would check with their payments department and since then I have not had any replies to my last 5 emails.
A total of twenty four emails, letters to CEO's and Chairman in UK and Spain later and still no refund.  I'm now at a loss as where to go next.  The CEO's and Chairman didn't even acknowledge my letters.
Has anyone been successful in obtaining a refund from this airline, I would be really grateful if you could advise how you did it please?  Thank you

    can you confirm that you still have the original payment card?...may be unrelated but there have been many reports (with different airlines) where refunds have got 'stuck' as the card is no longer in use/account closed etc, payment refunded to card and then can't be located.

    There is a story in Guardian Money about Vueling simply not paying money to passengers.

    This question to be ideally answered. Also if you booked direct with Vueling or via a 3rd party agent.
  • I am in the same situation - airline changed the day of the flight, and offered me a refund, which I took, but never received (7th Feb) I've been round the houses with Veuling email/ phone. Asked my bank to recover the money, they chased LoveHolidays (who I booked through) but they say as I didn't cancel through them, they are nothing to do with this refund and the bank have now told me they will be unable to recover the cost and go to Citizen's Advice - which of course I did months ago. Am about to write to had office UK, but this sounds like it might be another dead end. If anyone has any tips... gratefully received.

    did your payment on your card show against Vueling or LoveHolidays? If you paid LoveHolidays and they used their own payment method to book your Vueling flight then any refund would go back to them.
    Have you asked Vueling what date they processed the refund? (if they have)
