Thames Water delaying water meter

Options
Thames Water installed our water meter in January 2022, but it still hasn't been activated. I contact them every 1-2 months and they tell me someone will be in touch in 10 working days but nothing has happened. The consumer council for water bill estimator suggests we could be saving £300+ a year by switching to a meter - how can I force Thames Water to activate the meter? Is there any recourse for compensation?

Thanks!

To be clear, are they still charging you (and you're still paying) for RV?

    Two  things to do

    1) Read your meter and give the reading on line -  that will generate a new bill (and refund)

    2) Follow their complaints procedure -  don't bother with CS

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

If the meter has been installed, then what activation does it need?
