Lovely water feature and bird bath 😊
I moved in February and have been lucky with some freebies from friends and family who have been decluttering
Tin of magnolia paint, enough for hall, stairs and landing
Large living room mirror and set of bedroom curtains
Cast iron patio table, 2 chairs and parasol plus tin of metal paint to refresh the table and chairs. The parasol base was found in the bushes at the bottom of the garden so I suppose I bought it with the house 😆
Set of bath and hand towels
Lovely new neighbour supplying lettuce from her allotment
Rhubarb, asparagus and broad beans, (all finished now) plus cabbage, cucumbers and rocket all free from DF’s allotment 😋
Free tray of petunias from DF’s neighbourHave been so lucky. This move is the best decision I have ever made, not just for the freebies!0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗

Hi SYA - amazing reading about your house hunt process. IHad similar to you - it’s a shock to realise how many accepted offers fall through. The one that hurt the most was the tree survey - £700 - and the sale fell through a few weeks later. But the way I look at it is that it was all a process to get you to the perfect home which is the one you are in now.
you are living the dream - I’m hoping you have a diary (if you don’t you should) 😊👍🏻
EDIT - YAY you do! Subscribed 👍🏻Lancashire

As the result of a bereavement a shed load of big garden pots/ hanging baskets/2 wheel trolley. All were destined for the skip.
Oh, and an almost brand new undercounter freezer ( which I have to arrange to collect.).8 -
I have had so many things for my grandson from expensive swinging seats ,jumperoo, baby walker, toys ,clothes and now outdoor toys I am lucky to live in quite an affluent area and there is always plenty of quality items on our re-gifting site you could furnish a whole house and gardenSlava Ukraini6

Not sure if this counts but I managed to get £350 worth of work on my car. I had booked it in for service & MoT at a national garage chain only to be told on the day that they could not do the MoT as their exhaust testing machine was broken. Told them to proceed with the service and check the othe MoT areas. A few days later car failed it's MoT at a neighbouring branch. When I told them what had happened they said it should have been picked up during the service, and that their policy was to correct anything they missed free of charge. So the cracked rear suspension coil was replaced free of charge.I have never been so glad to get poor service.9

Thanks @SuzeQStan
I also forgot my niece gave me an electric fan which was much needed at night in the June heatwave and my DF gave me some Busy Lizzies for the garden 😊
I feel for you on the tree survey 😳

Pleased to say my wombling days are over. I'm tempted sometimes though when I see all the "stuff" being put in the bins at the back of the charity shop.3

Incredible the things that have been salvaged.
I included the bird bath and sink images in last week's Forum highlights blog. Thank you SuzeQStan and Floss.3
