Folks, for info,
If your SIM card goes faulty on your phone ZOPA will not allow you access to your money, you can answer all the security questions correctly but unless you can quote the verification code to your phone they will not allow access.
They do not process verification through any another number or your email system.

So if you need access to your money quickly you can’t get it.
Cheers

How or when do sim cards go faulty ?
Is it from handling the sim card ?1 -
If your provider and phone supports it, switch to an E-sim.1

They can go faulty anytime, usually have a lifespan of 5 years0

Or go to your local mobile shop with ID and they'll transfer the number to a new sim for you.0

It happened to me when I was abroad, so very difficult to do this.0

Lots of things can happen, it does not mean that they do with any regularity. I have never had a SIM fail, I do not know anyone who has, personally I have had SIMs for more than five years. SIMs do not have a timeframe quoted life, older models used to have 100k read/write cycles which in a worst case scenario was around four years life, but under normal usage was more like 10-15 years. Modern SIMS have a life of 250k writes, but because of the way modern phones now work that equates to around fifty years life.FIDUSCUSTOS said:They can go faulty anytime, usually have a lifespan of 5 years
As others have said you can either pick up a replacement SIM the same day from store, or get one posted out for delivery in 1-2 days, so hardly something to get worked up about.1 -
