@IzzyBee - I took swimming lessons twice - both unsuccessfully. The second time I had to be rescued - by Sammy Lee who was an Olympic medal winning swimmer and who owned the pool where I was trying to learn. Then a few years later, a cousin who had been in the Marines got me to try again - so now I can swim around the pool as long as I don't have to put my head under water. I sometimes do 25 laps at a time around our pool when I have a chance - much to the dog's concern who keeps running around the edge of the pool trying to rescue me. So with me, it was just learning how to get around in the pool without having to get my eyes wet that made the difference. You don't have to swim the way everyone else does. It is just as relaxing any way it happens.7
