I joined them in May 2023 and got the Lyca Mobile 30 day SIM card for only £0.89 per month for first 6 months.
Just got a text telling me it's going up to £0.99

Anyone else getting the same message?
The website is not the best and porting into them is difficult and the web dialogue is not clear what information is needed.

    Does it actually say the price is being increased?
    I'd suspect it to be related to these posts;

    It appears to be confusion on lyca's part as they have offered the same package at two different introductory rates. The message is being sent out in error to both sets of customers.

  • I am just about to leave Lyca after doing a year with them - from an MSE best monthly SIM offer last year. We moved en-masse to Lyca from GiffGaff - simply to save money across family mobiles. I very quickly moved the rest of the family over to SMARTY when I realised that Lyca's website & customer service were nothing like the otherwise excellent experience we had on GiffGaff for years (it is just that GG had lost all competitive edge they once had a long time ago. GG's flexibility for starting next month's SIM early is a brilliant  feature if you run out of data say a week early and no one else seems to do this.)

    Still we have found SMARTY really good - I use SMARTY for one of my dual-SIM phone's SIMs. But had not got round to leaving Lyca myself until this week - after what seems like an awful switchover from O2 to EE. Lyca are an MNVO - and so piggy back off, originally, O2 - good signal in our house. But they moved to EE (poor signal in our house). But the move has caused all kinds of issues - I regularly miss calls now - even in strong EE signal area.  Sadly there is nothing I can recommend about Lycamobile.  Am about to try Lebara...

    Not really sure how any of that answers the op's question. Have you received the same message? Have you been charged a different amount to what you expected?
    I have been charged 5p per month for the last six months and have now switched off autorenew as got the message to say this is the last discounted month.
