Credit Card company investigating my conduct

Hi,
I was on the phone to my bank and came across an agent who was useless, I ended up losing my rag and made an obscene comment before hanging up. The bank said they're investigating. I have a promotional deal with them for 2 years. Can they void the contract on the grounds of conduct? Can they take legal action?

Yes, they may well close your account due to your abuse of their staff.

Current climate - highly likely.
If you get an unhelpful person, just hang up abruptly and phone again. The chances of getting the same person twice are remote2 -
Abuse of staff is never tolerated.
When you see someone reduced to tears due to behaviour such as above, which their is no excuse for. It makes it very hard to do the role.Life in the slow lane2 -
Legal action no, account closure yes.

if you aren't happy then counter complain, they would be obliged to investigate your concerns if the staff member lacked competence0

Even swearing can result in acc closure if it carry's on after warnings.Life in the slow lane7 -

It's not a contract, it's your account that they close.
I'm sure FOS know well about accounts being closed due to customer abuse of staff & they will back them up.Life in the slow lane1 -

It's account with an agreement in force for 2 years. I'd be surprised if they ask me to pay 4.5k upfront because one of their colleagues was insulted.
The FOS are investigating a separate matter, but apart of the complaint was that one incident.0
