How much did your blinds cost for a three bedroom house?

  • It’s always cheaper to buy the blinds - blindsTogo and other similar place would be a good starting point. If it’s a small 3 bed with small windows then around £800 going up to £2000 fitted (if you buy better quality blinds and have a local handi- person to fit)

Impossible to get a sensible answer
    No need to answer then!
A tad rude for an honest appraisal of your question. My last 3 bed had 14 windows, with 2 very large bays. Current has 8 small windows.
    Thanks that’s helpful
  • My son paid £800 for two large and oddly shaped bay windows, fitted, from Hillary's Blinds, a couple of years ago.  Vertical blinds.
Yes my mum used Hillary’s Blinds for her home, I think they’re one of the more well known companies. Thanks
  • Local company, who measured and fitted them worked out around £200 per bedroom sized window (double pane, 105cm width), a little more for blinds fitted to patio doors. Obviously depends on type of blinds and material, vertical, Venetian, Roman or roller.
Yes I’m looking at a few local companies as well as national ones. Thanks

Surely at least some suppliers have some online quoting calculators, if you want a vaguely accurate answer?
I’ve seen a few websites with prices for the Velux windows but not for the regular windows.

5 guineas, or 105 shillings in 1953.  Expensive but worth it. ;)

Not many equip a whole house in one 'fit'.  Allow anything from £10 a window to over a £1k per window in your budget?

Measure the windows and look online for ready made (e.g.Dunelm or places like "blinds to go") for custom fit prices to work out some more accurate numbers.

Material(s) will make some pricier than others. Backing/blackout/thermal linings add cost.

Type of blind: roller, roman, perfect fit, will make a difference too.

Fitting will invariably be much more expensive that d-i-y.
Decisions decisions, so many different types of blinds, I may need to order some samples to help me to decide! Thanks
