Another DCB/ UKPC discontinuation

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place but I could not find the thread of DCB discontinuations.
Firstly thanks to all on this forum. I did not post about my case (until now) but I used all the information and defence template outlined in the newbies thread.
Today I received the standard letter from DCB informing me that thier client (UKPC) has instructed to discontinue court proceedings. This is prior to the witness statement stage and court date.
Potted background:
Parking fine is from 2020 after the first lockdown was easing and when parking was still free for NHS staff. I was given the fine in a hospital car park which I had already paid for six months in advance. Claim was for non display of permit. I was given a scrap bit of paper by the hospital and not UKPC which over time had become more prone to falling from the dashboard - as was my case.
I ignored the initial letters which I know now was a mistake but I did contact the hospital - who did not care. I should add I was a member of staff working during the pandemic.
Then the DCB letters started and finally I received the proceedings to county court letter. I followed the advice on this forum, submitted my defence via moneyclaim.gov site and things took the predictable path from there.
Timings wise this all started in Feb this year and has now concluded. I received the " our client may settle out of court" letters but chose to ignore all and was prepared to challenge them in court but as I said above it never went any further than "having reviewed the content of your defence, we are writing to inform you that our Client intends to proceed with the claim" - dated 19/06/23 then the discontinue letter dated 27/06/23.
To anyone faced with this company I would say read the newbies thread, don't be intimidated (my wife wanted to just pay them off), draft your defence and get some advice from the decent people on here. This practice has to stop it is clearly unethical and if I can do anything to help I will.

Brilliant! Nicely done.
We always see this in single PCN cases and have recorded over 150 cases.
As you have beaten this one hands down and have a tenacious approach, we hope we can count on you to pop back here and join us in August to respond to the DLUHC Public Consultation?
Please read the 2022 replies and bookmark the sticky thread by MSE_JC - and enable email alerts for bookmarked threads.
You'll then know what it is about and will be told when we reply there saying the Consultation is open - any week now...
As many responses as we can drum up - separately - one from each of all adults who have an opinion about this greedy scam and want to stop it (drivers or passengers, worried partners et al) are needed.
To stop this extortion we must help the DLUHC to get the statutory CoP over the line and drown out all the PPC "waaaah, gimme more money" submissions, including those where the DLUHC said the industry are known to 'pose as motorists'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

...calling @Umkomaas, another case to add to the impressive list of discontinuationsPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
