In any event, I presume it was clear to the OP on viewing that the middle garage belonged to the neighbour - so presumably they could at least figure out that there has to be a clear path for the neighbour to get access, and the OP couldn't just fill the driveway with their own vehicles.0 -

Well, that does go to suggest it's down to a misunderstanding by the vendors (and apparently also the neighbours!) rather than some attempt to deliberately mislead you. How does that gym/garage get its electricity? Is there a shared supply for the block of garages, or fed from the houses.
Could be another issue to unpick.0
