I delved into the world of corten steel planters and I am in love with a wibbly wobbly one..eventually I wanted the garden to have only thigh high ish planters to avoid the bending needed but now I am lusting after some really good quality ones instead of what I can [ahem] acquire by fair means or foul...
At 1m high, should be about 100 blocks if my maths is right... but then I worked out that was something like £4-500 just for the blocksHow about straw bales instead? There is a lot on straw bale gardening, have a search.Of course, I have no idea how much a bale of straw costs, plus availability & delivery, and presumably easier to come by in say Brixham rather than Brixton

Thanks, I like that idea - but it means starting fresh every year so probably better for 'vegetables' than what I was planning (which was a crown of rhubarb and perennial herbs).
I'll either 'invest' when paying for the patio/shed base anyway, or figure out a different way to do it, but either way I think it's a winter project.I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.1
