You have more than fourteen days and a deadline will never be on a Sunday.mimi26 said:...it has to be submitted today or tomorrow at latest as my 14 days are up on Sunday
What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form?
Have you filed an Acknowledgment of Service?
If so, upon what date did you do so?
Your MCOL Claim History will have the definitive answer to that.

Clearly the Acknowledgment of Service was received on 19th June.mimi26 said:Just logged on to MCOL says AOS submitted on 17th but not received until 19th’ and now I am in a panic
That's fine. Nothing to worry about at all. You did not miss any deadline. With a Claim Issue Date of 30th May, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 3rd July 2023 to file your Defence.
That's just a few days away but plenty of time to produce a Defence. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.0 -
Great thanks, will submit my defence here later.0

If it's UKPC using DCBLegal, just copy the defence by @Johny86 and show us your paras 2, 3 and 4 please.mimi26 said:Great thanks, will submit my defence here later.
Really easy! They'll discontinue later anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok my defence is as follows:,
I have copied and pasted template except for para 2 and 3, I am leaving para 4 as it is on template.
Para 2: It is admitted that the defendant was the registered keeper of the vehicle and the driver.
Para 3: on date of offence defendant was 10 days post natal, defendants daughter was born on (dob) suffering from complications from a floppy larynx. On said date defendant child was having trouble catching breath because of above problem, a call was placed to 111 service and defendant was advised to immediately take child to nearest A and E. Child was transported by said car along with 2 other passengers, the defendant and disabled sibling.
Disabled sibling has use of a blue badge so parked appropriately close to entrance, blue badge to the best of defendant knowledge was displayed.
Defendant acknowledges this was a terrifying experience as child was very unsettled and along with aiding the child out of car defendant also had to help disabled sibling out. Defendant was still suffering pain following the birth.
On arrival back to car defendant has no memory of a ticket on display for parking but as it was a stressful day along with being 10 days post natal memory may be impaired.
Defendant remembers nothing of where vehicle was parked or recalling any parking noticed on entering hospital, this was an emergency situation so focus was only placed on ill child.
Thanks for any advice offered.0 -
Looks fine except it wasn't an 'offence'.
And those paragraphs you left un-numbered need to replace Johny86's 3 and 4 (that aren't relevant to you) so you need to combine your words and make those un-numbered bits into para 3 and para 4.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes indeed because you can't use Johny's para 4.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
