    Sorry, lazy description! This is what they said which I think is good:

    There is a marker against your address, indicating to other organisations that you have been a victim of impersonation and another person has used your name and personal identification details

    That might result in you having to provide additional information/evidence when you apply for any credit product to prove you are you. That might be a little frustrating, but at least it's then likely you won't have a repeat of this again in the future.

    That already happens with the protective registration anyway. Well worth the inconvenience in my view,  I never want to go through this again.
