Prudential endowment policy - paid out early

Hello
I had a 25 yr endowment policy that was due to mature on (Sunday) 18 June 2023
Prudential sent to money to my account on  Friday 16th
I have the payment statement from them and it gives values of investments on 13 June - There is no mention of any maturity bonuses etc., i was paid the amount the investment was worth on 13th.
I've called Pru (before I got the statement) and they said its normal to pay out a few days early if something matures over a weekend - unlike any other banking thing where if something happens on a non working day, it happens the day after

I just wanted to check whether this sounds right that the value is calculated and paid before the official maturity date.

Thanks - Prisca

Its standard practice that if its to your benefit but falls on a weekend/bank holiday then it gets pulled forward whereas if its a negative thing then its pushed back... ie salary will be paid before the weekend but credit card bill paid after the weekend

You'd generally expect the Pru to follow similar principles rather than hold on to the money for an extra day or two and not give you any credit for it

It is also quite normal to pay out sometimes weeks earlier on With Profits funds as they know exactly what they are going to pay in advance.
