Honeywell Lyric T6R-HW - that's what I have for the same system.

    Looks good.
Just these two units? No separate interweb hub required?
Does the receiver fit straight on to the LP522 backplate, I wonder?

Yes, just two. I don't remember about the backplate, but I did make some minor alteration to wiring as the old thermostat was wired to a junction box near the HW cilinder.
For me the deciding factors were
    • mains powered and portable - I hate batteries
    • free geofencing (without any subscription)
That said, geofencing isn't reliable and, possibly, depends on the phone and its settings. It keeps ignoring my wife when her phone isn't in use.

Having recently moved into our own home after years in tied housing we have a gas heating system with a Lifestyle LP522 programmer which is hard to see to set and separate thermostat downstairs which doesn't appear to work properly, can anyone offer any advice on the best way forward to replace them and what it should cost.  We want to be able to set any system easily and as flexibly as possible.  any advice appreciated.
Are there thermostatic valves on the radiators?

whereas I like to have the thermostat fully portable & not tied to a socket so prefer battery powered - each to their own.
Geofencing on Wiser is free but I believe only (currently) works with a single device.
