  • For each group you can customise the notification settings, by default, they will not notify you of every post - only highlights. Change your settings in the group to "All posts" instead of the default shown below.

Note that push notifications will only ever be highlights, but in-app notifications can be all posts.

Thanks for that link but it doesn't really address the problem I'm having.  Posts from any and all sources, friends or groups, appear in random order and are often impossible to find again after first viewing.  Latest example was a post from a family member about a friend's illness.  I tried to show it to my wife later and couldn't find it, even when viewing the family member's posts.

That's pretty much how Facebook works, except it isn't quite random, more of a set of logical rules to display content to you that Facebook thinks will engage you and obviously generate some revenue along the way.

Facebook is not like a forum with organised chronological posts and replies, the algorithm tends to show different posts each time they use the app, so it engages the users.

It is possible that the post you couldn't find was deleted or the privacy options in terms of who can see it so it.

    A few ideas are:

    1. Click on the option to follow a post to get notifications of updates on it.

    2. Share the post using button on the post via private message

    3. Select the option to "Save" a post to keep it for viewing later.
