Forced to take Amazon Prime - trying to cancel

  • Amazon is a hassle getting through the p&p options always trying to get you to sign up to prime... but i recently found out that you do not have to spend £25 for free delivery if you refuse to get prime like me,  you can go and choose delivery options to an amazon locker and its free delivery even just for a single item.... this may only be for amazon direct items rather than all products but most things can be fulfilled by amazon

I actually gave up on a potential purchase on Amazon a couple of days ago because, no matter what options I tried, a free Prime trial was being foisted on me.  Why should I have to cancel something I didn't want in the first place, and my wife already has Prime on her account.

If your wife has Prime then just get her to share the benefit with you so you can use it on your account.

Thanks.  I  wasn't aware you can do that.  I'm using my account because I received a load of gift vouchers and don't want her nicking them. :D

If she shares the Prime benefit then everything else stays yours, she won't have access to your card/vouchers and you won't to hers. All that is shared is the Prime services and maybe some digital stuff that has been purchased (such as mp3s, films etc).
