facade said:It looks ok, provided you are using it at a desk/table. (You won't use a laptop on your lap because they are awkward, heavy and set your legs on fire)A 17" screen is about as small as you'd want to go for more than a few minutes use, unless you are a young'un with fantastic eyesight, rather than one of us seniors with dim eyes...If you want something to use in your lap, get a tablet pc.
Unless you pay huge amounts - you get a slow but light device
I use an overbed table anyway so weight is not an issue
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -

Not on the screen of your current device , but the one you want to buy will be much crisper
The 3rd gen i5s are no slouch in Web surfing and emails and you won't notice a huge difference in speed , if you do video editing you will
The m.2 hard drive is way faster than an ssd and you will notice a difference in boot up and shut down time
Also usb ports are much faster than they used to be so you will notice a difference if you back up your hard drive regularly as long as you buy the correct usb stick
And of course you get a nice new battery!0 -
