The best advice so far, is they above to be persistent. HAs are charitably constituted / non-profit landlords even if they increasingly behave like commercial ones.

If the remedies they propose or implement are still ineffective, ask for their formal complaints procedure.

Use it and don’t put up with brush offs.

If the bathroom is still damp and unsanitary, consider approaching your local authority’s Environmental Health officer. I own a BTL flat and have assigned it on a long term licence to a HA who let it as social housing, and also manage everything including its repairs. When the HA defaulted on a series of individually minor snags, worst of which was a slight leak under the sink, the tenant lost patience.  I (and the HA) were shocked to get an EHO’s letter threatening legal enforcement.

You could also get your Ward Councillor on the case (town hall website for contacts or use “writetothem.com”). The latter website also gives you an email address for your MP if after all the above, you want to ratchet it up further.

And ignore the mean-spirited!  Good luck

I used to work for a HA and they wouldn’t change a wet room into a ‘normal’ bathroom if somebody moved in who didn’t need it. However yours doesn’t sound like it was installed correctly tbh (even with the odd layout). There should be a former so the water drains way and there should be ‘cap & cove’ vinyl flooring from my experience.

Put in a complaint but clearly explain the issues. I wouldn’t focus on the odd layout because if it drained correctly and no rot it would be suitable (I would imagine).
