Once you have downloaded a book on to a Kindle - is there any time limit to read it and are you able to share it with others ?
You can share Amazon e-books with any device that has the same Amazon account registered on it, you just download another copy of the book.
You can also link Amazon accounts with "Amazon Household" and have "family sharing" of digital content (including e-books).
General sharing of e-books is not possible without some encryption hacking (hard on their latest version) and conversion to another e-book format.
There's no time limit on books that you buy outright but there are restrictions on their "free with Prime" service that limits the number of books that you can "borrow" at one time. E-books that you borrow from a public library have the usual limits.
I use the free Kindle app on my iPad mini. Not brilliant in direct sun, though putting an anti-glare screen on it helps. Another thing money savers ought to know though is that bookbub.com points you at great ebook deals, including free ones. Sign up (free) and list the genres you like and you'll get a daily newsletter with details of the latest deals, including price, and a link to get them. Good way to check out new authors, I look at reviews of free ones, if they're popular I download them, and if I don't like them just delete them.
