I had one month at the "deal price", but now it's on offer again...

Hi all,
I don't think there's anything I can do about this - but do enlighten me if I'm wrong - this is more a vent.
I signed up to BT's 500mbps full fibre package at the end of Dec '22 as it was on offer for £30.99/mo. Only a couple of quid more than most 150-200mbps packages at the time and I'd lived with bad internet for so long I thought I'd go for it.
Earliest installation appointment was mid Feb '23, so I took that.
The Openreach installer was great, everything went smoothly and the connection has been solid ever since.
But of course in March '23 the price rises happened taking my bill to £35.45/mo.
I paid less than a single month at the offer price I signed up at - and naturally BT were sure to take the extra money for the handful of days I was at the higher rate.
I now see BT has the same package on offer for £32.99 with identical other perks (Game Pass months etc).
So due to my timing I'm not only paying ~£4.50 more than I signed up at for basically the entire length of the contract, if I'd waited three more months until after the 14.4% price increase I would only be paying 6.5% (£2) more.
I understand that this is "fine" but it feels incredibly crummy.

Well it might be "crummy" but there would have been text saying that your prices will go up in April, so that's what you agreed would happen, and that's what did happen. As to the newer offer, that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes but no guarantee the later offer would have come along at all.0

You could ask them if it's possible to move to the new offer, when I was with TalkTalk they often let you take up new customer offers if you also extended your contact. It's worth trying but given its BT I wouldn't get your hopes up.
