25% UK will have been a drag. However, you are looking at 2 years, whereas pension / equity investments generally need to be considered over at least 5, better 10 years.£25k - £30K would be a lot per year at your age if the DC was all you had, but presumably you will get a full SP as well in ~10 years (have you checked?).So you would have ~£350 - £300k plus growth after 10 years, and would then need perhaps £12k - 15k to top up your DB / SP total. The lower end looks doable, at ~3.5% - 4% drawdown, especially if you have gone towards the lower £25k requirements from retirement.1
