It didn't work very well, had to scan it for about 20 times before it actually worked.
Security lady was kinda rude to me when i said it was a screen shot.
It is a better idea to download a pdf version
Unless someone can point out something I'm missing then there's absolutely no reason why a screenshot should be any different than the original - it's not like photocopying where you are going to get degradation each time you copy, or taking a photo of something where you might introduce blurring or whatever - it's an exact digital replication of the original digital image.
My understanding of why airlines ask for 'the original pdf boarding pass' was just as a little bit of extra security that you actually have the boarding pass and are a legitimate passenger. I think they may be within their rights to refuse to board you if they asked you for the original pass and you couldn't show it (though I doubt they'd ever ask) but I can't see that it has any impact at all on their systems and readers etc. I can't see how it even COULD make a difference.0 -

Similarly a little surprised that RyanAir doesn't have the function to share boarding cards in a more sensible/built in way as clearly often people buy tickets for multiple people and will want to share them with the other travellers.
I'd be concerned of not having the full boarding card in case the readers aren't working for any reason the staff will want to see the full card not just a screenshot of the barcode.1 -

I don't really know what the processes are in detail in such cases but if the readers aren't working then I wonder if it's as simple as just looking at the full pdf or whether it's going to mean a "proper" check-in and a paper boarding card anyway0 -

Another tip, use it as your lock screen. Saves faffin. Click your phone and it's there immediately.0
