Do I need a House Buyers Survey as well as a Structural Engineer Report?

Hi We are looking to buy a house built in about 1890.
On viewing the house, there were some internal cracks to the front bay window, so we decided to get a Structural Engineers Report carried out to check for any subsidence before we continued with the purchase. The report came back OK without any major concerns.

We are now further along with the purchase ( Solicitor appointed, searches carried out, mortgage and valuation approved).

Do we still need to get a Home Buyers Survey on the property or will it just cover what was assess in the structural Engineers report (floors, walls, internal cracks etc)?

You don't need to get any surveys.

Do you have unanswered questions about the condition of the property?  If so, get the right survey or inspection to address them.  If not, then don't bother.

thanks! I suppose we don't really have any other questions, we met the structural engineer at the property went through damp patches, cracks, floors, the loft.

I guess we're just wondering if its a sensible thing to do, as in would home buyers level 2 survey look at anyhting different than a structural engineer report would?

Home buyers give you a little general look at everything, followed up by "if you really want to know, get a proper survey".

    So it will say:
Electrics not to 2023 standards, suggest you get an electrician.
Not qualified to check the boiler, suggest you get a gas safe technician.
Roof looks old, suggest you get a roofer.
Didn't look at drains, suggest you get a drains survey.
    etc etc

Perhaps overly cynical, but that's how I see them.
