Eeek just cancelled virgin media after 30 years with them

I have just cancelled my virgin media contract . No loyalty discounts over the years so this time I just cancelled . It was in my husbands name and is due to be disconnected on July 20th . I asked them to add me to the account as my partner is hearing impaired and is unable to hear on the phone giving the password etc . They said they were unable to do this . I am also an o2 customer so if the account  was in my name I could avail of double data with being an o2 customer . ( I have a sim only with o2 but would be keen to retain my number ) Can I take one a new contract with virgin media in my name as a “new customer and avail of the discount . 

I was getting virgin tv v6 TiVo box + mix it tv 
broadband M250 broadband + WiFi max 
phone line rental ( I never use the landline at all 
can Anyone advise me . 

When I cancel led this morning virgin have asked me to return all their equipment on the 20 July .

You should get a call back this week offering you a deal to stay.  So long as in your account your marketing preferences are set so that they can contact you

Does anyone know to get the volt deal. Does the virgin media package have to be in the same name as the o2 phone to get the double data etc .. or can it just be the same household . As in husband has virgin media and wife is on o2 ?
