Sent the v5c to smart parking ltdHopefully a copy? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You should use the term ERASE your old data as it has a specific meaning in GDPR-land. when you say "post" do you mean by e-mail?1

Thanks Le Kirk, I didn't use the term "Erase" as I didn't realise it had special legal meaning. I just said "I also request that any records associated with my previous address , ..................................., be promptly removed from your system to ensure accuracy and avoid any potential confusion."Le_Kirk said:You should use the term ERASE your old data as it has a specific meaning in GDPR-land. when you say "post" do you mean by e-mail?Should I send another message asking them to Erase? To the land owner (Park Trust) I sent a letter by post as their complains page only gives a postal address. To the smart parking Ltd, I first sent a message without the v5C and got a reply from smart parking asking me to send it. I then sent it the following day. After that no response from them. Also nothing from CST Law, apart from the automatic acknowledgement I got after posting a message through their form on the website, which I guess goes to them as an email.0 -
Sounds like you did enough.samfromuk said:

Nothing bad will happen anyway so ignore them.
But next month there is something you can do which is in your interests and will help change the law, a change which is almost there.
Please do us and yourself (and the driving public) a favour and stick around on this forum to ensure you see when the Government publish and open the final Public Consultation.
...expected in late July/August.
Please please come back here to join our campaign, be heard and take part in the final Public Consultation to change and cement the law and ban the fake + £70 extortionate debt 'fees'.Your only chance.
Rest assured this isn't some weak petition going nowhere: the Government IS listening and regulation to stop the worst excesses of this rogue industry is very very nearly over the line!

We will tell everyone there when the Public Consultation opens.

Thank you @Coupon-mad
Of course I will take part. If we don't fight for fairness these greedy businesses will have us for lunch. 🙂By the way, I couldn't find that three you mentioned. Searched for MSE_JC and got quite a few results but not sure I found the one you mentioned. Please could you post a link?1 -

Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for all your help so far.
Got the reply for the SAR, got a photo of car apparently entering and leaving with data/time stamps.
I had asked for the record of all payments received on the machine on that date (as advised in this forum) but I haven't received it.
I got the followingA copy of the letter (Parking Charge Notice) that was apparently sent to me but I probably didn’t get as we moved house around that time
It had this warning that if I don’t pay within 14 days I will have to pay 50 pounds and after 28 days it becomes 60 pounds.

Then a “parking gateway ticker case file” with the photograph of car apparently entering and leaving
Had this on the “Parking Gateway case file”

A csv(excel) file showing car registration and a “Paid Amount” of 1.50
Then another csv (excel) file showing “in” and “out” times and date
However, none of the documents mentioned the 120 pounds that was in the letter. The whole thing looks very dodgy.
I had already sent a letter to the site owner complaining and requesting that this charge be removed but haven't heard back. Haven't received any explanation about how the 120 pounds is calculation. I am also not sure if they are being honest and about these details and if there there was any technical issues with their machines etc. Should I prepare my defence and wait for the court papers or is there anything else I need to do now0 -
Resend the rectification notice to the DPO of Smart Parking instructing them to erase your personal data and replace it with your current address for service. Include another copy of your V5C.
Smart don't currently do court, so just file the debt collector letters and chase up your complaint to the landowner and your MP. Come back to this thread if you get a real letter of/before claim or claim form from a real solicitor.
