Hi,

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice please. We had a 4 hour delay in the airport because of a technical issue with the plane then a 2 hour delay on the plane due to weather. We have claimed for the flight delay and are waiting to hear back however I wondered if we could claim for the loss of our first day in disneyland as we didnt arrive until 10pm instead of at 4.

Any advice would be great please.

Thanks

Claim from who?  The airline isn't liable for that, and it's unlikely that a package provider or insurer would cover it....

I'm not sure from who, was thinking either easyjet or travel insurance. So we should just accept that we lost a day that we paid for even though its easyjet fault?

Even though a technical fault will generally be considered the airline's responsibility (not necessarily their fault as such), the flight regulations are clear about the obligations on airlines in such circumstances, and consequential losses aren't claimable, even if tangible (i.e. actual financial losses rather than loss of enjoyment):

Notice of your rights in case of flight delays, cancellations and denied boarding | easyJet

So yes, a four hour delay that's held to be the airline's responsibility for compensation purposes (they obviously aren't able to control the weather!) doesn't put them on the hook for anything beyond their regulatory obligations.

Yes, unfortunately.   Hope the flight delay compensation (if applicable) is however a small sweetener.
