thank you so much for all your input. So I guess the next step would be to send the N244 form.. just one more thing as I just realised I never updated my DVLA driving license address... would that cause me more trouble?
Almost every CCJ we assist with is from people who didn't update their logbook. It's nothing to do with your driving licence.
Read a few CCJ cases done already, to learn about the hearing ahead.
@hallie28 is a good recent example to copy and adapt. That one has good case law in it.

Make this the last time you say that. That is frowned upon by Judges. Do NOT say that at the hearing!
What is important to understand and say, is that the PPC has failed to do a 28 pence 'soft trace' to find your new address before litigation, which is a breach of the CPRs and the Code of Practice, so the CCJ must be set aside under CPR 13.2.
