Unwanted Giffgaff

Hello, I've received an email welcoming me to Giffgaff, paid via a £20 voucher.
I didn't join.
I have the phone number, order number and username but am loathed to use any of them as I don't want to 'activate' anything more sinister.
I've changed my email password, what other security steps should I consider? I set it up years ago and naively used my full name and birth year, saying this out loud I'm tempted to delete everything, is this overkill?
I can't speak to Giffgaff without logging in.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As stated, someone has likely just typo'd their email address wrong. Report it to GiffGaff and forget about it.
No need to be doing anything more than you have with your email, certainly no reason to delete it or move it. The fact your email provider knows your name and DoB is not an issue, maybe change the DoB to something false if you are really worried.0
