Section 5 of the Landlord and Tenant act 1987.
More specifically, it could be Section 5A, 5B, 5C or 5D - depending on the circumstances.
See:

And it's Section 3 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985

I noticed in the Freehold Title Register under section "B: Proprietorship Register" it states "The Transfer to the proprietor contains a covenant of indemnity in respect of the covenants and conditions on the part of the lessor contained in the Leases set out in the Schedule of Leases hereto."
What does this specifically mean?0 -
Can't sue "the proprietor" for any breaches of the lease terms committed by "the lessor"?stardust23 said:I noticed in the Freehold Title Register under section "B: Proprietorship Register" it states "The Transfer to the proprietor contains a covenant of indemnity in respect of the covenants and conditions on the part of the lessor contained in the Leases set out in the Schedule of Leases hereto."
