And I still wouldn't be able to get a signal around here1

Short term for me this would be good news as the Vodafone coverage around my part of the Yorkshire Dales is better than Three. But the ID Mobile deal I got a few months back from Mobiles.co.uk (ID Mobile use Three's network) was better than the previous Vodafone deal through Mobiles.co.uk. If merging the businesses means opening up both V and 3 masts to all customers then happy days.
But longer term I suspect the pricing will increase and perhaps the free ID Mobile euro roaming will get pulled.
Let's see how things develop.1 -

Let's see how things develop.
Prices will increase
Service features will reduce
Masts will be decommissioned where "duplication" occurs.

Worst customer service joining mobile network with worst coverage.
