    Worth checking the neighbour's deeds in that case?

    If the passage belongs to next door and her ivy is coming into my back gate can I ask her to remove it? Because the passage is overgrown with ivy?

    F98, how old are the houses? And yours is semi-detached?
    Is this passageway between you - in red - and the detached property shown to the right in the photo, No7? Or is it a non-visible-in-the-deeds-plan passageway between you and the 'semi-detached' house to your left in the photo?
    In either case, it would appear that, without you having at least a RoW over one or the other, you would have no way to access your back garden except through your house? I would hazard, then, that the chances are high that you do have at least a RoW to your back garden, but whether it's down the side of the detached No7, or even down the far-away side of No3(? - what's the number?) and then across the back of their garden to yours.
    So, please read your deeds carefully to look for an indication of this - a Right of Way. Also download the deeds of both sets of neighbours, and repeat. 
  • Now next door are saying I own the roof over the passage but they own the passage so I’m literally like what is going on?? Here are pictures of the passage and my back gate. Next door hasn’t even got a back gate in the passage?? I said there is you over grown Ivy too that’s destroyed my back gate. There is a picture of my old back gate too. 
  • These were built in 1979 
  • Number 7 have also said I need permission off them to carry out any work on my wall which I intended to pain. Also they have said I have no right if access as it’s private land. I’m like how if there has always been a back gate on this property. My grandmother and grandfather moved in this property in 1995 and have always had access to the passage as they use to keep their bins in there. Number 7 their gate is round the other other side of her house. Surely her back gate would be on the passage too if she owned it?

    Pictures don't really help unless you answer the question TiW asked.

    Which bit of the plan is the passageway?  Is it the bit just outside the red line between that and the building on the right?

    Ignore the unkind comments. If you have an issue with the ivy coming onto your land, you can cut it yourself. You have to give the cuttings back to the neighbour.
    You have to offer the cuttings back to the neighbour.

    You really don't, unless the neighbour for some reason is keen to have more garden waste to dispose of.

    Well, you're the only one of us who has been there! I think you'll need to try harder to explain to us what we're looking at, either in the photos or on the plan.
