1930s bungalow ceilings - potentially asbestos?

Get it tested.
Re the comments above, my husband spent ages trying to find the spot they has taken as a sample in our new house for testing and never manged to so no owner should be worried about the visible impact of testing!
We had asbestos ceilings in two bedrooms and the sloped ceiling of the attic room above. While it was 'safe' to leave undisturbed I didn't want to live with it, especially in the attic room that we could touch and could be bashed etc.
The quote to remove it wasn't too bad, think we paid £25 per sq metre. Then had to pay for new ceilings obviously but even that came in lower than we anticipated.
At no point did we try and renegotiate anything for the purchase though as it was always likely to have been asbestos, but we did arrange not to move in for an additional week in order to get it all removed before the house was lived in by us...not every question from every buyer is a 'red flag'!0
