Help with UKPC/DCB legal claim
Comments
-
Email the intellectually challenged individual who copied you in with the discontinuation notice and attach a copy of the N279. Demand that they discontinue as per the N279.1
-
You should contact MCOL to confirm whether they have received the N279 from DCB Legal.

I will take both of those actions, thanks for your advice.1

Serendipity70 said:In the post yesterday I received a document ‘Notice of proposed allocation to the small claims court’, dated 2.8.23. Same claim number.
On the MCOL website it states:
Cast stay lifted 2.8.23
DQ sent to you on 2.8.23
DQ filed by claimant on 2.8.23Just when I thought the harassment was over.. Can they pursue this when they sent the Notice of discontinuance on 26.6.23?Surely can't be the same claim.
These are different stages entirely.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’m afraid it is, only had one on the go and it’s the same claim number.

I received the following email yesterday afternoon from DCB Legal:From: (Removed by Forum Team) <(Removed by Forum Team) @dcblegal.co.uk>

Subject: Our ref: (Removed by Forum Team)
Just checking - does the ref: definitely refer to your case?0 -
It doesn't make any sense for a case discontinued at WS stage which was already allocated. The same claim can't have been stayed and still be with the CCBC.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’ve never known DCBL discontinue pre allocation and so early into a claim, do you still have a copy of the email ?
As a defended claim they would have to file the notice with CCBC/CNBC, this may well of got lost or not yet dealt with due to backlog.
An alternative might be a mistake by DCBL and they’ve emailed the wrong person.
I would email DCBL to clarify their position and contact CNBC, normally takes 30 minutes to get to help desk.1 -
Yes it’s definitely the same reference/claim number and my name on the email. It did arrive early in the order of things. It looks like they made a mistake but I have the email saying they have closed the file and the discontinuation letter. I’m not sure how they can go back from that?0

Reply to DCBLegal ANGRILY and tell them you are reporting them to the SRA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
