I thought that yes, but either way I would be waiting at least 14 days from now for a return/refund.
Yes, but the 'second order' route would at least mean that you should have what you ordered tomorrow, if getting hold of the goods is still a priority.

How did you pay? please be specific (as it matters).
There might be a chargeback route that gets the money back more quickly
I thought that chargebacks for goods not received could only be initiated after an unresolved waiting period (perhaps 14 days?) rather than immediately, or are you thinking of a different chargeback reason?
I've had money back from amex immediately then they Ask questions later.
I'm not saying it would stick, but the OP seems to need their money immediately.

Of course if it goes back to a credit card it may just reduce the balance so might not help.
And I guess it might pee off Amazon who then decide they don't want the OP as a customer.
It's a valid concern if you want to carry on doing business with them.
In the cases where I've been unhappy enough to do a chargeback, I have not wanted to patronise the business any further.

personally I don't find the (not unusual) stance of wanting to make sure something doesn't show up to be that much of a problem.
    Just offering it up.

For me it was more the attitude of "tough" that got to me plus multiple advisors saying to wait until end of following working day for refund then changing it to 14 days from the day after that especially when the items are showing as available for next day delivery on their website still it would be different if it was harder to source items and/or out of stock.

That and 1 advisor said I would get a £5 discount code as compensation and another advisor told me "Amazon don't do compensation"

Worried today, when I was on bus to work I decided to check the status and it said "delivered, handed to resident" which made me panic as for one again I was outside at the exact time of delivery and as there was a fire down the street there was a lot of passers by so it could of been stolen but I can't be sure until I go home as they may of put it in the bins.
  • I don't know if i waited 14 days for a refund I was under the impression that I have had my refunds sooner than that, the live chat is usually helpful maybe get on at them ?

For returns yes I get return in transit refunds before but they seem to class this different and I have talked to live chat.

Got that 2nd package yesterday after it showed as delivered the day before, items were fine but the box was very badly bashed about and tape over it.
