O2 roaming in Channel Is and I of Man

We were recently in Jersey and made a call to Spain. Under the O2 T&Cs you can call a number in their Europe Zone while roaming in the Europe Zone. Jersey in included in their Europe Zone.

We were charged for the call and when I complained the O2 call taker said that only calls within the country visited and calls back to the UK were included. I asked her where in the T&Cs that was stated and she just repeated her earlier comment. The terms and conditions state: "Making calls and sending texts within our Europe Zone (excluding the UK), to any other country in our Europe Zone" is included. I'm not sure which part of the above O2 don't understand... They refunded the cost of the call as a "one off" gesture.

Beware when roaming and making a call ahead to another European country.
