ADR and Parcel Compare

Good morning all! I have been in regular communications with Parcel Compare regarding a parcel that was damaged in transit but they would not honour the parcel protection I paid for. I have gone as far as I can go with Parcel Compare, having used resolver to complain. I am at the end of this and I need to escalate to ADR. I asked Parcel Compare which ADR they use and they said they have not signed up to an ADR service. The resolver site says "Once an internal complaint process is exhausted, businesses must give the consumer details of a certified ADR provider and tell the consumer if they are willing to use them."  but Parcel Compare has not provided me this information - they just told me to find one on the Trading Standards site and find one.

Do any of you know which ADR would be useful to complain about Parcel Compare?

Also, anyone willing to share some experience in dealing with Parcel Compare and if you have been successful?

Thank you!

Only certain business sectors have a legal requirement to use ADR.

I don't believe parcel services are one of these sectors so, unless they have voluntarily signed up to a service, they don't have to use or abide by one.

Resolver is just a service that provides email templates and tracking of messages I am surprised they are acknowledging you through there as most companies ignore resolver as they have no legal standing.

If they will not voluntary use an adr your only option is small claims

ADRs are, mainly, for profiit organisations that businesses can choose to sign up to as an alternative, or extra step to, court for customers to complain. They are paid for by the company subscribing.

In some industries there is a requirement to sign up to one but free choice as to which one. In others there is a statutory ombudsman (eg Financial Ombudsman) and relevant companies have no choice either as to sign up or not nor if they choose the ombudsman or another service.

For the majority of industries its a free choice if to sign up at all. If they havent signed to one then you would issue court proceedings and the court may point you to an ADR before hearing the case.
