Non payers on ebay

You have to pay listing fees for less than 10 days so I'm trying to avoid that.
If you have a private Ebay account( not business) there are NO listing fees.0 -
Not sure what you mean by your last paragraph? Virtually all private sellers have free listings and business sellers pay regardless of auction duration .RhondaD said:I see what you mean but all the logical reasons they might have changed their mind are all things you'd usually respond to when a seller contacts you to say it's ok if you've had a change of heart - but there's just silence instead.

BINs do make sense though and for private sellers wanting to use the FVF offer days you get a full month at the offer price, rather than a maximum of 10 days with auctions. Just remember though as stated earlier if you send an offer or accept one (and I use offers quite a bit) then the immediate payment doesn’t work.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As a private seller I can get free listings on 5/7/10 day auctions, but not 1/3 days.2

You don't have to pay listing fees for a 7 day auction, that's what I use 99.5% of the time. And even then I think it's probably longer than it needs to be but it works for me as it basically runs weekend to weekend which is convenient.RhondaD said:I see what you mean but all the logical reasons they might have changed their mind are all things you'd usually respond to when a seller contacts you to say it's ok if you've had a change of heart - but there's just silence instead.

I think I am going to try a few more BIN auctions in future though1 -
This is what I meant. I did accidentally get charged more than once for a short listing, but eBay refunded me because I genuinely didn't know. Mine are free but for example i can't do a 1 or 3 day listing for free.KxMx said:As a private seller I can get free listings on 5/7/10 day auctions, but not 1/3 days.0 -
I can't do 1 or 3 day listing for free. I'm not set up as a business but i do get charged for short listings. I'm wondering if 10 day listings may also be an issue.soolin said:

The more I think about things is does make sense that competition blocking may actually be a thing. The problem is by using different accounts and internet providers it is probably easy to get away with it without getting a ban, or at least get away with it for a certain timeframe.0

Yet again. Another item I already had a buyer for then at the last minute someone else came along and bid an extra £1 then didn't pay. 😠0

RhondaD said:I thought this was a rare thing on eBay these days but this is third time in as many months and I'm now considering putting a note on all items asking people not to bid if they don't want it.I wouldn't - can't see it stopping anyone from doing this and might even attract nuisance bidders. Are your items actually rare enough, and valuable enough, to be worth blocking? On the positive side, dealing with a non-payer will be cheaper and less hassle than dealing with someone determined to make a return even if you don't accept them (eg damaging it and returning it as damaged)But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.
