Hi Experts,  I received a notice of proposed allocation to the small claims track. It was issued on 2nd October but I only receive it or happen to see it today in the posts, not sure if it was delivered late or and got misplaced with other posts or parcels (lying next to the front door). There was a deadline of 19th October to complete small claims directions questionnaire (Form N180) which i have missed. Please could you advise on what possible options I have. I have been waiting for this for couple of months but when it actually appeared, i missed it. Please help me out. Thanks

Looks like a bit of déjà vu.
Please re-read my post on your thread on 3 July at 11:55AM.

Complete the Directions Questionnaire and return it as soon as possible - by email this evening.
The checklist you were once following explains how to do it all online.
Remember to send a completed copy to the Claimant (or their solicitor if using one).

I really can't understand how this could even happen. In our household almost all post is opened on the day that it arrives. But leaving mail unopened for weeks... beggars belief.

From this point on you really need to be on the ball. Deadlines will be more critical.

    Hi Keith,

Thanks for your response, that is a big relief. I have started to fill it out, i could not find email id details of the court online, is it same as what i used to file my defence? And is the email id of the solicitor's of the claimant (DCB legal) response@dcblegal.co.uk?

Also on Front page of form N180, it asks about on behalf of (which will be my name) , how do i select or remove 1st/2nd claimant/defendant as there is no option to tick/untick or remove?

    Hi Keith,

My apologies but i am unable to find that link that gives guidance on what email ids to use. specially as the name has changed from ccbc to cnbc, email ids must have changed too.

    Also bellow is not clear:
    1) On Front page of form N180, it asks about on behalf of (which will be my name) , how do i select or remove 1st/2nd claimant/defendant as there is no option to tick/untick or remove on online PDF?
    2) And should i select yes or no to "Suitability for determination without a hearing" Question D1?

    Thank

Hello Experts, i just wanted to give an update on thism Form N180 was filed but there has been no communication since then, on checking mcol website, it shows below updates.

    Claim History

DQ filed by claimant on 02/10/2023

You filed a DQ on 29/11/2023

Your claim was transferred to BRENTFORD on 29/11/2023

I have not received any updates or posts since then, would this have been discontinued, how to find out the latest status in case there was a lost/missed post.

Check with Brentford court tomorrow  ( MCOL will never have any further updates after that last sentence. )

Thanks, would we get notified if DCB decide to discontinue?

You definitely should do, in writing, with a firm in a letter, a Notice of Discontinuance

On the other hand, it could be backlogged at the court, despite all this time passing. ,( but you should have heard something by now, assuming that you have not moved address. ?  )

Brentford court should have sent you a court order in the post

DCB Legal would have sent you a witness statement, or a copy of the discontinuance  etc , in the post, nevermind emailed copies
