I used the IHT checker and it said
Completed Probate Form with figures it gave me and it said to send in Will and IHT207. Filling in IHT207 Told me not to fill anymore in and use IHT400 as Mum Died and Lived in England.
Assumptions ive made as this is a excepted estate and IHT is under the 650 threshold. Then I just need to send in the Will.
Am i thinking correctly or going bonkers.
Thanks...
"Your estimated estate value is £151,251". Assuming I dont need a IHT400 form ? |

I thought iht207 was only if deceased lived abroad, so why are you completing that? Are you sure that was what probate form indicated?1

My mum’s estate in Jan 2023 was < £650k (dad pre deceased her) so an excepted estate & I only needed to send the will - no iht forms. I did tick the box on the probate form to say I was applying for dads iht allowance to be applied.
Yours should be the same?1 -
