This is an example of the defence template you should be using. Your War & Peace attempt should be saved for the WS:

Yep, to be clear, this is the same as Johny's defence so either way, this OP has had almost every word already written for them except to deny driving!

Many thanks to all of you. I will revise it accordingly.

Dear All, apologies for raising an old thread. The DCB legal have now send me an N180. However, I have not recieved the N180 from CCBC. It has been over 7 days.

My worry is that I am leaving for holidays for 4 weeks and hence the CCBC one may arrive while I am away. Is there a deadline to return the Defendant N180 - Directions questionnaire.

If so, does it make sense if I send an N180 in advance before waiting for the CCBC's one to CCBC and the DCB legal.

As usual, grateful for your advice.

The CCBC are well behind with their processing - two months or more.  It won't be sent just yet but yes you could always download it.

Also, you might find this thread useful - New Questions on the N180 Form.

Since the N180 is/can be sent via e-mail (see instructions in template defence thread) why not download one, complete it and have it ready to send to CCBC and the claimant.  Then, assuming you can access t'Internet from your holiday location, check your MCOL status page every couple of days and then when you see "N180 sent to defendant" send your completed copy.
  • Apologies for posting in an old thread.

It has been over a year since I send my N180 and I still do not have a court date. DCB legal in the meanwhile have continued calling me with different offers, which I have politely refused.

I am aware the courts are delayed; however, I am away for 2 months next year and hence am a bit worried.

Is there a way to update the N180 with new dates where I cannot attend the hearing. Or should I do anything other than waiting

For ready reference, here are the details of the claims

    Claim issed: May 2023

DCB Legal's N180 recieved from court services: September 2023

You will have to download and email a fresh N180 of dates direct to MK court hearings email and explain why. You can't chance it.
