Missed appeal timeline for ukcps

Hi, I’ve recently received a parking fine for parking out of a marked bay at the coop, however after asking around locally, the land that ukcps have charged me for parking on actually doesn’t belong to them but a landlady who owns the houses that it is attached to. After reading through these threads and seeing people saying it’s best to leave it until around 2 days before the 28 to appeal I did just that, however I’ve now spotted on the back it says 21 days and when I input my license plate and charge number online it says my ticket cannot be found. Is it worth going back to the co op and telling the manager that is hiring a company to charge for land that isn’t hers to see if she will get it cancelled or is there some way I can still appeal? They won’t talk about charge notices over the phone apparently 🙃

I’m just worried about court action, I was hoping to appeal and get it cancelled seeing as they don’t own the land. I don’t want it to negatively affect my credit score/end up with ccjs

    Irrelevant with ukcps
    The above advice is correct
Try and get the land owner to cancel but other then that move on.

Yep ignore UKCPS and DRP completely.  Laugh at all £170 threatograms. There won't be a court claim.

    One favour please:

We need you - as a genuine PPC victim of aggression, sharp practice and an 'extortion' attempt to add £70 - to respond robustly to the Public Consultation on the level of parking charges and banning of the false added DRA 'fee' that too many honest motorists currently fall victim to.

It will need consumer input (powerful voices) but change is afoot. It's taken about 5 years to get to this stage:

And then the industry threw victims' money at it and blocked and delayed it - explained here:

Please now Bookmark BOTH threads and set up email alerts on your posting profile, so that you get an email alert when we post there, as we will, once the Public Consultation opens - anticipated by July...

We need people like you and your driving family & friends to respond in high numbers!

You will over the Summer have a personal story to tell about the culture of getting a roboclaim debt recovery "shyster/bloodsucker" firm to add a pointless £70 for their own profit, to be let loose to intimidate people who are too weak to know it's unlawful crap.

I am sure you want your voice heard to stop this happening again.

Thanks for that - I’ll do so. I’ve been to the co op today and they said they won’t do anything - is it worth ringing ukcps tomorrow to alert them that they have ticketed me for parking on land they do not own? Or am I best to ignore them completely?

Absolutely NEVER EVER ring a "scammer" (MPs in 2018 said the whole industry was operating an 'outrageous scam', hence the law is about to change - with the public's help).

Thanks, retailer said to ring and explain that they’d ticketed me for land that they didn’t own so that I wasn’t being chased with debt collectors notices etc

Also just to add - your newbies thread says wait til day 26 to appeal - you might want to amend it slightly as I took that advice and it’s only on closer reading that ukcps only give 21 days to appeal so I’ve missed it
