Ask those daft people to show you a Britannia court case in Scotland.  Then laugh at them!

There are ZERO and will be ZERO Britannia cases.

    Those letters are so intimidating.

What should I do moving forward? According to the thread, if they reject the appeal, they I need to appeal the appeal is that right? Or should I just ignore them all together.
Please re-read the post immediately before yours.
And keep re-reading it until the message sinks in.      :)

Thank you. I understand now that I need to ignore their letters moving forward and in general, and I wish I had done that, but I wonder how that will play out now that I have made an appeal and made contact with them.  Does the same advice apply then- Just ignore them and move on with my life?
Sorry for all the questions, I want to apply for citizenship soon so I'm just super anxious about anything related to fines etc!!

That's alright then, because there is no fine involved here... just a speculative invoice.

Thank you. I went through my appeal, and I think I made a silly mistake (I did not say I'm the driver, but I did use a quote from the moneysavingexpert article on appeals/mitigating circumstances that says how I'm a law-abiding citizen, and I now understand the ticket restrictions on private land and was a mistake so that might be an indicator that I'm the driver but will see how it goes! Rookie mistake!

Thanks for all the advice. Will post again in 35 days, Have a good night.

No need. Nothing will happen, whatever they say. Stop letting this interrupt your life. Repeat, nothing will happen, whatever they say, just ignore them!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You are over thinking this, you are dealing with greedy scammers not an authority you do not have to justify yourself to them they have no interest in you only your money, and you are falling into their intimidation trap.
Follow the advice on here to the letter, not their threatening letters, and when you get the next round from debt collectors they will be dressed up and lie to you to be scary, don't fall for it.

The regulars here have repeatedly tried to get the "Official" MSE parking advice removed because it is just plain wrong on so many accounts, but to no avail.

This is why you were pointed to the NEWBIES and not go off piste. Never mind, nothing will happen as repeatedly advised, so you continue to ignore for the rest of your life.

The Scottish Simple Procedure/Act of Sederunt rules prohibit a party from claiming expenses if the claim is less than £300. These expenses include the cost of a solicitor and travel to the court.
This means a claimant would lose money if a claim was made for a single PCN.

It is only worth a PPC bringing a court claim in Scotland for multiple tickets, which you do not have. This is why we are saying nothing will happen in Scotland, even if the driver's identity is known.

There's no need to post again about the rejection letter and the £170 demands that you now know to COMPLETELY IGNORE.

Your citizenship is unaffected by this scam PCN from a stupid private parking firm!.

But please come back to join us and do the PUBLIC CONSULTATION in August.

Please read this link and bookmark the necessary thread so you come back in July/August.

    Scottish drivers are needed:

You are about to suffer what happens in England. You are getting 'keeper liability' in 2024, whether you are driving or not.

A nasty shock is coming to motorists North of the border FOR NEW 2024 PCNs only.

Best you can do is respond to the Public Consultation in August, to minimise the level of parking charges and INSIST ON A BAN OF FALSE ADDED 'FEES'.
