02 £6.99 monthly x 12 month contract
I spent two hours speaking to 02 a week ago trying to change my tariff to their £6.99 monthly one. I’ve been with them for several years. They agreed it was available to me and tried to change but apparently the network wasn’t working - after spending 2 hours going through everything. We’ve since tried three more times and each time the network isn’t working, they say. Has anyone else tried changing tariff with them and been successful? I currently pay £12.99 for same as £6.99 tariff offered. Possibly I’m too patient? Trying to change over myself online hasn’t worked either. Thanks.

How did you try changing it yourself online?
I recently recontracted on a deal via MSE (which then sends you to O2's website) & it worked fine.

Yes I did . I phoned 02 and they agreed to the transfer of new deal. They tried to switch but couldn’t. They tried a couple of times. It was then agreed I would try myself on line whilst the 02 person stayed on the phone. I came across the same problem. All this in 2 hours! She said it was probably a slight hiccup and to try again the next day. I asked for her name and she gave it to me saying any problems get back to her or let whoever I speak to know. 02 rang me back the next day and still couldnt change over. This happened for 3 non consecutive days. Last call received was on Saturday saying there wax still a problem.BUFF said:How did you try changing it yourself online?

PS They asked where I had seen the deal and I replied MSE and USwitch.0 -
so, you went via the MSE link which then took you to the O2 website?0

I rang 02 again and spoke to someone else. Started at the beginning. He asked if I had seen an offer I was interested in and where was it. Explained MSE and Uswitch. Within 10 mins we’d gone through everything and I was switched over. So no idea why it wasn’t working that easily before. All sorted. 12 month contract which didn’t bother me. £6.99 instead of £13+ I was paying.BUFF said:so, you went via the MSE link which then took you to the O2 website?0
