Benifits due on Christmas Eve

I get some benifits paid on monday and it is in the bank today, I got my Child Benifit and Incapacity Benifit. So if anyone due money on monday check you bank today as it may be in already.

Mine are due on the Weds after my friday signing, my payment went in on Wednesday this week, an entire week early. OH JOY, I can see this stretching untill the 9th of jan (that was sarcasm *sob*)

I get carers on a monday and Child tax and child benefit on a tuesday so I too was expecting to get an early payment. Do you think we will get it tomorrow instead?

The notice in my local post office says that Benefits payable on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th are due to be paid into accounts on Monday 24th Dec. It also stated that some benefits due for Xmas Eve would be paid on Dec 21st

I spoke to the tax credit people yesterday and they confirmed the same dates for payment of CTC and WTC. They also said that anyone due to be paid on New Years day should get paid next Friday 28th

Guess I must have been one of teh lucky one to get mine today. :j and spent it early lol

I prefer it to go in later so I make the amount I am paid before last longer so it doesn't leave me short. More so because I get sick of getting phone calls from family members who've had payments early, spent it and need to borrow money, darn annoying.

With the post office notice, I wonder if that just applied to post office accounts? Mine is a normal bank account for tax credits/child benefit. If anything was due to enter my account tomorrow the lady on the telephone at the bank said it would be showing this evening and it wasn't. Guess it'll all go in on Monday.

The notice in the Post Office stated it was the payment date for benefits over the Christmas period into all bank accounts.

TBH i was surprised it was going to be that late. Going on the past few years i would have assumed that payments due Christmas day and Boxing day would have been paid today. But an early payment is an early payment at the end of the day
