eon 64.189 per kwh is crippling me

hi yes it seems to add on 64p kwh and then take half of it off again, which is confusing. I am guessing maybe i am paying the normal rate but have since thought about it and they have made it confusing. Sorry about the mix up.0

Have you got your actual annual consumption figures (in kWh) ?
Trying to work out where the DD has come from. 5000 x 34 would be £170 (plus VAT and s/c - say £200) That bill you had in March - was there a big debt figure that Eon are now clawing back.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
My gas boiler broke down and was not repaired until end march, so had to use space heaters one for me and one for my son whilst working. House was bitter cold. ps gas boiler sorted now0

That makes a world of difference to Eon who will be assuming this year will be much like last - hence the high requested DD.ellajuk said:My gas boiler broke down and was not repaired until end march, so had to use space heaters one for me and one for my son whilst working. You could switch to a monthly variable DD which will look amazing during the Summer but a big sting in the tale during Winter.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -

Yes - E.ON show the EPG by charging everything once at a high rate and then on the next line charging everything again at a minus rate (the discount).
It all adds up, you aren't paying 64p.
See how the second one is -£262 -
So have we established she isn’t paying 64p notwithstanding the alarmist thread title?
I can’t help thinking that if people spent a bit of time and energy reading their bills and understanding their homes better, traffic in this part of the site would plummet. It’s a !!!!!!’s muddle of mix ups, misunderstandings and misplaced anger or worry.2 -
Now that she has had her boiler repaired and assuming she is a "typical" user her combined cost should be in line with the new energy cap - her challenge is to go to Eon and change tariff or to move suppliers.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
