My bills are £284 per month and I have had no statement since March but it was showing a crippling 64.189 p kwh and even thought I have been paying by DD they have not updated my paymets on their system and suggest I owe then over £900 pounds.  Is this just me ?  I use about £30 a week based on the .33p unit so my bill should be at least half they are asking.

Your bill is not your DD.  It's merely a contribution onto a kitty which may or may not be sufficient to pay the bill when it arrives.
Have you been sending monthly meter readings if you don't have a fully functioning smart meter?
Much more info is needed: supplier, tariff (fixed or SVT), region etc.

yes i have been sendng monthly meter readings, i guess i checked and its seems as though the bill accumulated from the winter, now the gvt assistance has stopped im paying the price.  I will leave eon once the debt is cleared so i can go with a provider what will provide me with proper updates.  No statement since March is not on.  Thanks for your feedbacks.

Are there no statements on your online account?

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Some companies only send statements every three or six months despite collecting DDs monthly.
This can be very confusing because after five months all the payments make it look like you're well in credit only for a big bill to arrive in month six that wipes out all your credit and leaves you in debit.
Vote with your feet - Octopus would be a good bet for brilliantly clear bills.  They generate a bill every time you send a meter reading so you always know where you stand.

EON next typically send a bill when you send a meter reading. I've had a couple of occasional where this hasn't happened but I've found Facebook messenger with them quickly resolves any issues

That unit rate of 64p+/kWh - where is that from, where does it say that?

Are you on normal energy supplies or a district heating thing?

Taking this at face value -  this is 5000+ kWh/annum.   That sounds high  -  what is your heating - storage/panel ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
