Could it be Amazon prime video? This is extra on top of Amazon prime. Usually get a 30 day free trial then it rolls over into a 8.99 monthly charge.0

Doesn’t even use the prime benefits except the free quick delivery….. the bank shows and they say Amazon prime is taken out twice a month Amazon say they are only taking one payment no other email address linked no extra benefits used 😩0

I find it amazing that Amazon cannot link the bank / card and Amazon accounts even if one is not linked to him, likely front line CS can't but no reason why back office shouldn't be able to. Is it possible he registered a card for someone in his family and Amazon have reverted to that card ? The only option is to cancel his prime membership and tell the bank to stop paying out to Amazon for both memberships. They must do this if asked.

Yes I think it’s the only way cancel all payments to Amazon from that card and cancel the Amazon account ….. we’re just totes baffled by it especially seeing as there’s never been another email/Amazon account with them and even if there ever was there’s no way this debit card would have been linked to it 🤔 maybe we’ll have to go through something with citizens advice to see if it’s a fraudulent case on Amazon’s behalf …..
thanks to all for advice etc …..0 -
get him to do a subject access request and ask amazon for any and all information that they hold that will include where his debit card is being used if there is a possibility of someone else fraudulently using his debit card. But the SAR will give you details of all the accounts held and when his debit card has been used. That hopefully will show that they have either been taking payments twice for the same account, or will show which accounts he holds. I would put money on him unknowingly opening another account0
