And this is my solar panel app from the week after panels were installed, taken at 6pm.

I can only take readings from the actual meter as they didn’t have any monitors to give me. I am taking actual photos of the meter itself with nothing on the export and 148KW from the grid.
If it is something consuming 6kw then why did it suddenly start when the meter was changed. We did a lot of research before buying solar panels and I have double checked my bills.
In Jan to April my average consumption was 11Kw. Then Solar panels installed on 12th and hooked up on 13th April. Grid consumption obviously dropped but cannot quantify at moment. Then smart meter installed last Thursday and have now consumed 148Kw in a week, when we were away for 3 days. Something has to be wrong
I agree but without photos no one can help. When checking your electrical supply after the smart meter was fitted, the installer should have carried out a polarity check. If he has got the meter tails crossed and failed to do the required check, then it is possible that the import side of the meter is recording export and vice versa. Hence my request for photos and actual meter readings.

Fuse into LHS, Henley into RHS, at least that bit looks right.

And that shot from the solar app basically says you were powering the house from the solar at that point?  All seems to add up there.

Hopefully the photos will help now. I also have photos of the solar app taken from many different days over the last 6 weeks or so. They all show what I would expect, reduced take from the grid over previous quarter.
I am sorry but I don’t know what anyone means by GE app or IHD. I have an app to monitor Solar panels (Foxess) but no app to monitor smart meter as they had run out and the BG app doesn’t have the addition yet to monitor my usage. Hence the reason I have to check the meter itself.
Based on these readings, my quarterly bill will be higher than before I had the panels installed.

Yes, Thea was taken after panels installed but before the smart meter.

GE stands for GivEnergy but now I can see that you don't have GivEnergy products

IHD stands from In Home Display, what you should have got when you smart meter was installed but didn't

What does the solar app look like now?

I agree. The grid power is not 7kW it is 0.007kW.

As the sun comes and goes and you switch things on and off you will see very small grid imports as the solar; battery and grid system come back into balance.

That picture is before the smart meter was fitted.

In any case, in that picture 0.007 kW is being exported, look at the arrow showing the direction of flow.
