I’ve always had payments early when it comes to bank holidays.
2 come on a Monday and are always paid on the Friday before.

That is what generally happens, but the weekend of the coronation things didn't quite go to plan and some payments didn't go through in time for the Friday before the weekend. It's generally been put down to the double bank holiday's straight after each other and the CoL payments also being pushed through the system at the same time, and so not everyone got their payments on time unfortunately.

I've not heard of it happening on such a large scale as it did three weeks ago for a long time, it's an old system that generally does hold up well, but this time there was just too much going through it at once and it unfortunately floundered slightly.

Update:  I've went back and checked my payment dates using my online banking and PIP Award letter.

The first payment that was late was the payment due May 1st (so the week prior to the coronation my mistake) which I did recieve late.

My next payment should have been May 29th and this was late.  I recieved that payment today.

Apologies for the confusion of the 1st date (long story short I'm on some ridiculous medications at the moment and things are often fuzzy).

Between the health issues, meds and being stuck home because of it all I swear time all mashes into one.  Weeks are only days ago kind of thing...
